Frequently asked questions
Candidate residents are referred to us by the social services in Vilvoorde (OCMW, CAW) or by other social services from the region Halle-Vilvoorde. Homeless women can also contact us on the mobile number + 32 470 030303. There is an intake interview with each candidate.
We provide a furnished room, communal kitchen and communal sanitary facilities.
We work with each resident or family in an individual way. We actively guide them in the search for their own home.
We help them to make the necessary contacts with the social services in Vilvoorde as well as with legal services and socio psychological care centers, if required.
We guide them in their contacts with the school if there are school-aged children.
We provide cleaning supplies. Residents are expected to keep their own rooms tidy. The communal areas are cleaned by rotation.
We do not provide meals; residents have a kitchen available where they can cook for themselves.
We do not provide professional psychosocial counselling but we can help find the necessary contacts.
We do not organise events or trainings or at least not in a structural way. We do not organise transport.
Our residents pay a fixed daily rate as a contribution in the expenses, ceiled in function of their income.
